Users:
Mid-Market Server Admins
Purpose:
Monitoring and alert resolution of servers, clients, networked devices.

This was a brand-new product so we started completely from scratch, not only on the software, but on the UI and UX as well. The decision was made for the user interactions to resemble Outlook, that is, 3 panels, which the mid-market user would feel familiar with.

The software was agent-based monitoring. Rules were created to generate alerts whichwould then notifiy the admin, or create a workflow that would correct the cause of the alert.

SCE got rave reviews and we were then tasked at redesigning the existing Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM).
